Man City star Erling Haaland made Mbappe lose a world-class super contract from EA Sports

Problems both on the pitch and behind the scenes are putting Mbappe’s career in a difficult position.

During the new event, game maker EA Sports announced striker Erling Haaland will be the character appearing on the cover of the upcoming game EA Sports FC 24. EA Sports FC 24 is the successor to FIFA 23 – The world’s number one soccer simulation game.

Haaland is the face of EA Sports FC 24.

Previously, EA Sports FC 24 also posted a cover photo with the presence of 31 players. The list of players includes male players, female players and former stars. But Mbappe was not present and Haaland stood in the center.

In the past, Mbappe used to be the main character in 3 versions of FIFA from 2021 to 2023. According to European media, losing the contract that appeared on the cover to Haaland brought great damage to Mbappe.

Mbappe used to be the representative of FIFA 23.

FIFA is the best-selling sports game of all time with 325 million copies (as of 2021). This game has brought in over 20 billion USD in revenue for EA Sports over the past 20 years. With the central role and also live on the day of the game’s introduction, Haaland will receive a huge remuneration.

The story with EA Sports is just one of the problems Mbappe has faced recently. The French striker and the PSG owner club openly criticized each other in the media. Mbappe is desperate for a Champions League title, but PSG’s strategy doesn’t give him enough confidence.

Haaland and Mbappe are expected to be the next rival after the era of Messi and Ronaldo.

In the opposite direction, Haaland has a booming 2022/23 season with Man City. 52 goals in 53 matches and won the Champions League, Premier League, FA Cup treble, it is clear that the Norwegian striker is a long way ahead of Mbappe in the competition at club level.

The 2023/24 season is already ahead. If the problem is not resolved with PSG soon, it is not excluded that Mbappe will lose another year of his career at the team that he no longer wants to join.
