The “Black Adam” star said his mother was in a car accident. She was lucky to survive, but the car had front-end damage.
On February 2 (US time), The Rock shared on his personal page that his mother – Ata Johnson – had a car accident. The actor feels grateful when his loved ones are safe.
“My mother was in a car accident last night. Fortunately, she survived and continues to be monitored. My mother experienced lung cancer, a harsh marriage, a head-on collision with a drunk driver or even attempted suicide. However, she miraculously survived,” he wrote.
The Rock also thanked the Los Angeles Police Department and the Los Angeles Fire Department for their enthusiastic support in handling the case. At the same time, the actor reminded fans to always take care of their loved ones.
“I only have my mother left in the world. So if you have enough parents, always love and take care of them,” the actor expressed.
His post received 2.7 million likes and tens of thousands of comments. The online community expressed sympathy and shared with the actor after the incident that almost took his mother’s life.
The Rock’s father – Rocky Johnson – passed away in 2020. After his father died, he always tried to take care of his mother on his behalf. He used to buy a house and a car for his mother to make up for her hard and miserable past.
At the end of 2018, the actor once posted a clip recording his mother bursting into tears when her son bought a house for Christmas. The video attracted more than 10 million views. Many people left comments congratulating and praising The Rock’s filial piety.
