Sadio Mane, the Senegalese forward who made his way to Saudi Arabia during the summer transfer window, has now been formally presented to the Al Nassr supporters.
Mane’s arrival coincided with the Arab Club Championship Cup, a competition he contributed to significantly, aiding the club in securing victory.
The 2021 AFCON winner and new entrants, Marcel Brozovic, Sekou Fofana, and Alex Telles, were introduced to the fans at the Al Awwal Arena following their return to Riyadh.
Fans yelled Mane’s name as he was officially welcomed to his new home in a video uploaded on social media.
Other players, including five-time Ballon d’Or winner Cristiano Ronaldo, attended the ceremony as well.
Mane expressed excitement upon meeting the club’s supporters and stated optimism for success during his stay with the Saudi squad.
The former Liverpool forward was crucial in the recently concluded Cup competition, scoring the penalty that earned them a semi-final match against Al-Shorta.
According to ESPN, the 31-year-old and his colleagues exercised ahead of Friday’s Saudi Pro League game against Al Taawoun.
