Fans were left questioning Erling Haaland‘s incredible body transformation on Wednesday as pictures emerged of the Norwegian flexing his muscles with the Champions League trophy.
Channelling his inner Viking, the record-breaking striker proudly flaunted the trophy – and his shredded figure – during Manchester City‘s Treble celebrations this week.
Supporters could not believe how much Haaland had changed in just two months, looking back at a picture of him appearing lean next to Noel Gallagher at the Etihad in April.
Haaland posed alongside the Oasis star in Manchester City’s dressing room after helping his side to a 4-1 win over Premier League title rivals Arsenal.
The 22-year-old goal machine appears to have bulked out significantly since, although some fans are claiming the celebration picture has been altered.
‘Photoshopped,’ one supporter insisted on Twitter, denying the credibility of the image.
Similarly doubting the Norwegian’s body transformation, another fan simply wrote: ‘Edit.’
Other supporters took a less cynical view of Haaland’s celebration picture, lauding the superstar for his efforts in the gym ahead of Manchester City’s Champions League triumph over Inter Milan.
Referring to a separate picture of Haaland alongside Manuel Akanji, one fan wrote: ‘I’m still tryna wrap my head around the transformation. Even Akanji, look at him! Did the train specifically for the end of the season?’

A second posted: ‘He’s going to be a monster next season.’
Another said: ‘Been in the gym with Ruben (Dias).’
During his debut season at the Etihad, Haaland netted 52 goals across all competitions, steering Manchester City to a first Treble in England since Sir Alex Ferguson’s triumph with Manchester United in 1999.
The forward will be ready for Norway’s Euro 2024 qualifier against Scotland on Saturday despite Manchester City’s three-day booze-fuelled Champions League celebrations.
