Martine McCutcheon has hinted she is thinking about her failed marriage after taking time away from social media for some “self care”.
The 48-year-old Love Actually star stunned her fans earlier this year when she announced her marriage to 40-year-old musician Jack McManus had come to an end after 12 years. Taking to Instagram on Tuesday, the former EastEnders star was all wrapped up in a giant coat and wearing a winter hat – and was fresh from a facial.
Uploading videos and photos of herself, the former Loose Women contestant revealed she had managed to find some time for herself after being so busy she barely had time to think. She wrote in a caption on Instagram Stories: “Hello!! I’m not sure if I’ve been on here or not! I’ve been so busy!
“Had a minute to myself to today for some much needed self care. Thank you for your beautiful skin work @drsenna.” She added: “I’ve had so many amazing messages. Thank you! I try to read every single one of them. PS Is it me? Or do I look like I’m being swallowed up by my coat?”

Later, Martine shared an inspirational quote which may have left her thinking about her collapsed marriage. The quote stated: “Sometimes, it’s not about what you’re doing, but who you’re doing it with. Who makes you feel seen, even on your quietest days? Who lifts you up when the world feels heavy? And who stays, not because they have to, but because they want to? Those are the people who make life feel like home.”
Sharing the post on her Stories, she added a caption of her own, writing: “Spot on… How lovely.” The TV and film star went on to interact with fans further via a post that she shared on her main grid. Posting a video of herself dancing in the seat of her car to the sound of The Swing Out Sister song, Breakout, she wrote: “I love this song so much!! However, right now, I’m trying to “Breakout” of this jacket! It’s swallowing me up whole dammit! Here’s a little insta versus reality for you…”
She then added a string of hashtags, stating: “#triedtodoagorgeousselfie #thejacketwqshavjngnoneofit #itsswallowingmewhole #ahwell #atleastitswarm #feelslikeimwrestlingthedamnthing #iwon.” Fans were delighted to see the star looking happy and confident – with some interacting with her directly.

As are you and hope you are doing okay!” Martine replied to state: “I’m really well, thank you!” alongside a praying hands emoji. Another curious fan asked: “Is it a zara jacket?” And Martine replied to state: “Asos” alongside a red heart emoji. Others were glad to see her wrapped up for the chilly weather – as she caused alarm last week by going outside in a summer dress while rain lashed down and temperatures barely reached double figures.
