There is currently a lot of news over Dwayne Johnson not spoken a word over Henry Cavill’s firing from DCEU.
Reportedly, Johnson fought Cavill to be Superman again in DCEU, but after this unfortunate event its seems the 39-year-old actor has taken major steps.
Henry Cavill fired Dany Garcia as his manager
Recently, The Direct cover a report of Puck News’ Matt Belloni, which stated the British actor had fired his manager Dany Garcia before his departure from DCEU. Cavill had the same manager (Garcia) and an agency (William Morris Entertainment [WME]) as The Rock.
Surprisingly, a few hours ago also denied the news on Twitter by saying, “100% not true” replying to DCU Direct. The WWE legend was optimistic about having Cavill as Superman once again in DCEU, starting with a cameo in Black Adam end credits.
According to Belloni’s report, the Man of Steel actor had fired Garcia and WME before this DC debacle popped up. Moreover, Garcia was the one advocating his cameo in Black Adam, that was filmed in less than two months for making the movie more exciting.
Shockingly, former President of DC Films Walter Hamada wasn’t on the same page for Cavil’s return as Superman. However, as The Direct’s report, DJ went around Hamada’s back to have the 39-year-old actor wear the cape again.
Nevertheless, the film has suffered a mega loss of $100 million as per reports. The Shazam spin-off has earned a box-office collection of $391 million worldwide until today. Many speculate the film crossing a $400 million mark but it seems difficult as it made its digital debut a few days ago.
Gunn announced new plans for Superman showing a back story which doesn’t need Cavill. However, this brings a big question mark on ‘The Great One’s’ future in DC as Black Adam.
While Cavill’s exit is confirmed, Johnson’s future is unclear as new plans are being made by Gunn and Peter Safran. There were talks for Black Adam sequel but after the recent news of leaking false profit numbers, the plans could be at a halt.
