Erling Haaland won the Best Player in English Football award for the 2022/2023 season by the Professional Footballers’ Association (PFA). The Norwegian star beat 5 other candidates in the poll including Bukayo Saka, Martin Odegaard, Harry Kane, Kevin De Bruyne and John Stones.
In the 2022/2023 season, Erling Haaland has scored 52 goals in all competitions for City and helped the team win the Premier League, FA Cup, Champions League treble. In particular, the striker has set a scoring record in a Premier League season with 36 goals.
Bukayo Saka the Best Young Player in English Football award for the 2022/2023 season. The 21-year-old midfielder scored 14 goals to help Arsenal finish runners-up in the Premier League last season and return to the Champions League after a 7-year wait.
In the women’s player poll for the 2022/2023 season, Aston Villa striker Rachel Daly received the Best Women’s Player award in English football, while Chelsea midfielder Lauren James received the Best Young Female Player award in English football.
