Dwayne Johnson Reveals the Name of His Pet Dog to Be Inspired by His ‘Fast and Furious’ Character

Dwayne Johnson is a busy man. Whether he’s promoting the XFL across the globe, or one of his million-dollar movie franchises, the star is constantly making waves. Many kids look up to Johnson as their hero. Mainly, because of his work ethic, to appeal to fans with his movies. However, The Rock is also a family man who cherishes being a father and a husband.

Recently, the Brahma bull revealed his love for pet dogs and shared their names and breed. Fans would celebrate the fact that one of his dogs, is named after his own character from one of the biggest action franchises in Hollywood.

Dwayne Johnson is a proud father of 3 daughters and 2 French Bulldogs

In a recent interview with BBC Radio, The Rock got candid about his pets at home. The father of 3 daughters, Simone Johnson, Jasmine Johnson, and Tia Giana Johnson, doesn’t get much time to spend with his family. Since he’s constantly flying across the globe, to manage his companies and promote his films. However, Johnson makes time for his two French bulldogs, who mean the world to him, and are part of his family. The Rock said, “We have Frenchies and we have a kind of like a mix.”

In fact, The Brahma Bull even carries them into his movie sets at times. When the interviewer inquired about their names, The Rock responded “Turbo and Hobbs”.

Fans might be familiar with the name ‘Hobbs’, as it’s the recurring character Johnson portrays in the Fast and Furious franchise.

Hobbs is already a Hollywood star, thanks to The Rock’s influence

The Rock is a proud pet adopter, who got his hands on Hobbs, back in 2016. He came into the family, with his brother Brutus, who sadly passed away. Since then, Hobbs and Rock have grown inseparable. Hardcore fans of the former WWE superstar might spot Hobbs’ appearance in Johnson’s 2019 action flick ‘Hobbs and Shaw’.

The former WWE superstar even joked about Hobbs being a ‘spoiled-movie star’ in a behind-the-scenes featurette for the action film. Moreover, Hobbs got the star treatment, since his dad was also the producer of the big-budget film. Fans loved watching the cute canine on the big screen, who certainly has a future in the glitz and glamor industry.
