Chris Hemsworth Celebrates Australian Father’s Day with Motorcycle Ride with Dad Craig and Brother Luke

“Fun ride with dad and bro,” the Marvel star wrote on Instagram

Chris Hemsworth is riding in style for Father’s Day in Australia!

The actor, 41, spent Father’s Day in Australia on motorcycles with his dad Craig Hemsworth and his brother Luke Hemsworth on Sunday, Sept. 1.

The Marvel star shared a selection of snaps from their family motorcycle outing on Instagram, including a selfie of the trio.

“Happy father’s days here in Australia! Fun ride with dad and bro,” the Thor star captioned the post, before thanking motorcycle manufacturer Harley-Davidson for his “trusty two wheeled steed.’

In the photos, Chris is wearing a black leather jacket while his older brother, 43, sports a black jacket with a white graphic T-shirt and his dad dons a black jacket with a blue T-shirt. The next two photos are solo snaps of the actor looking backward while sitting on his motorcycle.

The carousel continues with another selfie of the three, this time revealing a scenic field behind them as the sun sets. The post wraps up with a photo of Chris on his motorcycle while his dad photobombs him in the background.

Earlier this year, Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga writer-director George Miller told PEOPLE that Chris’ father Craig “hung out with the biker gang that was in the first Mad Max.” He teased, “There’s a photograph!”

Miller added that Craig almost joined the 1979 Mad Max film as a cop seeking revenge amid the societal and ecological collapse of Australia.

The filmmaker said, “He was a social worker going to university, otherwise he would’ve been part of that biker gang in Melbourne.”

In the movie prequel, which came out in May, Chris plays a wild warlord who rides a chariot constructed of motorcycles.

Over the years, Chris has spoken positively of his upbringing.

“My parents worked in child protection for many years,” the actor told El Pais in 2023. “My dad put aside his own experiences in life to be in servitude of helping children.”

“The influence of my parents and what I grew up with in that environment — that motivation was a huge inspiration. We have to put aside our own personal well-being to help others,” he added.
