Australia’s very own God Of Thunder, Chris Hemsworth, has been honoured with a star on Hollywood’s Walk Of Fame.
The 40-year-old actor was joined by his Marvel Universe castmate Robert Downey Jnr in a ceremony on Hollywood Blvd, as he was recognised as the 2781st recipient of a star.
“I feel a wonderful profound sense of gratitude,” he told fans who had lined the LA street to see him.
Reflecting on his career, the former Home And Away star praised his friends and family who had helped him along the way.
That included his wife, Elsa Pataky, who was sitting in the front row with the couple’s children.

“Nothing is as special without you by my side,” he told her.
Filmmaker George Miller — who recently worked with Hemsworth on the latest Mad Max film — described his countryman as a “wonderful person … and actor”.
Downey Jnr said Hemsworth brought a fun and energy to movie sets.
“Beyond the cape and the hammer is a contagious Aussie charm,” Downey Jnr said, referencing Hemsworth’s Marvel character, Thor.

“He has a true-blue wit and depth of soul”.
Born in Victoria, Hemsworth has risen to become one of tinsel town’s most bankable assets with his role as Thor.
He joins the likes of fellow Aussie stars Nicole Kidman, Russell Crowe and Cate Blanchett to be honoured by Hollywood’s Chamber of Commerce.
