Actor Dwayne Johnson has faced many opponents in his career as a professional wrestler, and since his film career has taken off, he’s faced his fair share of challenges in Hollywood as well. But now, one of Hollywood’s highest-paid actors is facing perhaps his biggest challenge yet–in the form of a massive $3 billion lawsuit.

Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson 2023: Net Worth, Salary, & Endorsements

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has proven to the world that he has a bit of the Midas touch. He began his wrestling career in 1996 and rose to WWE super-stardom almost immediately. Over the course of his wrestling career, Johnson, known by his ring name, “The Rock,” came to be regarded as one of the greatest professional wrestlers of all time, amassing a laundry list of awards and championship wins. His accolades include being a ten-time world champion and two-time Intercontinental Champion, as well as a 2000 Royal Rumble winner and WWE’s sixth Triple Crown Champion.

After battling opponents like Steve Austin and becoming a WWE champion, he left the world of professional wrestling and World Wrestling Entertainment in 2004, though he made WWE appearances outside the ring after 2004. But shortly after playing the Scorpion King opposite Brendan Fraser in his first hit movie, The Mummy Returns, in 2001, Johnson decided to step out of the ring to pursue his acting career.

Johnson has had roles in some of Hollywood’s most lucrative films and franchises, including the role of Luke Hobbs in The Fast and the Furious franchise and the role of Black Adam in the film by the same name. His career also includes roles in many movies for Disney, including Game Plan, Moana, Race to Witch Mountain, and The Jungle Cruise. He is now one of Hollywood’s highest-paid actors and just recently announced a new film project for Disney–the live-action take-two of Moana.

WWE star Dwayne Johnson hung up his big gold belt, announcing his formal retirement from wrestling in 2019. But part of The Rock’s wrestling history is coming back to haunt him.

Former TNA (Total Nonstop Action Wrestling, now renamed Impact Wrestling) wrestler Trenesha Biggers, also known by her ring name, Rhaka Khan, has sought legal action against Dwayne Johnson in a massive lawsuit in which she claims that she and her children were the targets of an elaborate criminal plot orchestrated by Johnson and a plethora of other defendants–some individuals, some groups, some government agencies, and some businesses.

Biggers is seeking restitution in the amount of $3 billion.

The complaint is 45 pages in length, but the list of defendants takes up far more paper than the actual complaint, as Biggers lists more defendants than we’ve ever seen listed in any complaint. In addition to naming Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson as an alleged perpetrator, the former wrestler listed multiple other WWE personalities who she says played a part in the alleged conspiracy to kidnap her and her family, including “The Miz,” Nikki Bella, Maryse, Heath Miller, and Mark Jindrak.

In the lawsuit, Biggers further named the State of Texas, The El Paso Child Protective Services, the FBI, The Las Cruces, New Mexico Police Department, The NYPD, The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, New York ACS, Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., the Shirley Police Department, Sigma Phi Epsilon, and Suffolk County, New York, as defendants in the case, alleging that they, too, were accomplices in the alleged criminal plot against her.

So as not to exclude anyone or any entity, Biggers also named Panda Energy, Home Depot, FCW, NWA, NWA President Billy Corgan, Deep South Wrestling, Mick Foley, Chris Benoit, Jim Cornette, and Michael Jordan in the suit as well. There are others named in the suit, but because readers may have a newborn in need of a diaper change, a beeping oven beckoning, the image of a stranger on their Ring Video doorbell viewfinder, or a sudden urge to make use of the wonders of indoor plumbing, this writer will not elaborate on those names any further.

The complaint is an interesting one and alleges that each of the people and entities named as defendants in the suit played a role in conspiring against Biggers in a case against her in Texas related to child custody. Per PWInsider, Biggers’s lawsuit “makes reference to being taken to Riker’s Island (a jail in NYC) after U.S. Marshals arrived at her home in New York City to arrest her in October 2021, but that they failed to provide a ‘scintilla’ of evidence in a hearing about her extradition. She claims that the judge overseeing the hearing ordered her released, but the arrest and hearing allowed for the ‘kidnapping’ of her children and that the law enforcement agencies involved ‘failed to intervene.’

In the complaint, Biggers alleges that Dwayne Johnson and every other named defendant “conspired to kidnap [Biggers] and her children.” As of the time of this publication, no defendants have been served.

Most Recent Developments

Biggers filed the lawsuit in the U.S. District Court, Southern District of New York, in October 2022, but a recent report states that in February 2023, the former wrestling star paid all of the associated court fees and asked the court to move forward with the lawsuit.

But Biggers has troubles of her own. According to court records in Texas, there is currently an outstanding bench warrant for her arrest after she failed to appear in court in December 2022 for charges related to interfering with child custody orders and “aggravated kidnapping [facilitation].” Failing to appear in court is a violation of Texas Penal Code 38.10, which states that “a person lawfully released from custody, with or without bail, on condition that he subsequently appear commits an offense if he intentionally or knowingly fails to appear in accordance with the terms of his release.”

Biggers is also listed among the most wanted fugitives in El Paso County, Texas.
