‘It was this big!’ Hugh Jackman covers up his muscular arms and abs in rash vest as he goes fishing with son Oscar on holiday in Hawaii

He’s been treated for skin cancer three times, so it’s no surprise Hugh Jackman wanted to protect himself during his family holiday to Hawaii.

The 46-year-old covered up his very muscular arms and abs as he donned a tight black Rip Curl rash vest, a cowboy-style hat, sunglasses and a pair of black shorts.

The handsome actor was joined by his son, Oscar, 14, as the pair went fishing on a small yellow-and-red boat on Saturday.

Boys day out: Oscar and Hugh enjoyed a day out together after Hugh has spend much of the year busy filming

Oscar, who wore a yellow T-shirt with a grey cap, was lucky enough to catch a fish on the outing, looking as though he struggled a little as he reeled it in.

Hugh guided his teenage son as he worked to bring the fish on board the boat.

After the boys caught their fish, Hugh put his muscles to good use as he helped row the boat back to shore.

Clearly excited to be spending his weekend in paradise, the Wolverine actor took to Twitter on Friday and said: ‘Bring on the weekend! #TGIF.’

Better safe than sorry: The father of two has been treated for skin cancer three times in the past

While he’s been in Hawaii, Hugh has spent some quality time with wife, Deborra Lee Furness, 59, and daughter, Ava, nine.

The actor was no doubt excited for the warmer weather after having filmed in the snow in Oberstdorf, Germany, for his latest film, Eddie The Eagle.

Also starring Kingsman: The Secret Service’s Taron Egerton, the film is about Great Britain’s first ski jumper to enter the Winter Olympics and will be released next year.

Hugh will also reprise his role as Wolverine for the eighth time in X-Men: Apocalypse, also due for release in 2016, with an untitled Wolverine sequel due for release in 2017.
