Dwayne Johnson is currently undergoing one of the worst phases of his life. With recent setbacks from his XFL venture, Black Adam, and Young Rock, it is indeed a tough time for ‘The Brahma Bull’ of WWE. In dire need of positive publicity, recent reports claimed Johnson could return to WWE.
Can WWE fans finally see Dwayne Johnson return to WWE television?
Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson was long speculated to return at WrestleMania 39 for a feud against Roman Reigns. However, things did not materialize that way, and Reigns instead had a boiling feud with The American Nightmare Cody Rhodes.
However, fans might finally see something hopeful, as internal reports claim on turning the Twitter feud into a real feud. After the two had a verbal back-and-forth confrontation on Twitter, Waller would invite Johnson on his show, The Grayson Waller Effect.
Waller has recently shared the screen with some of the biggest names in the industry, such as John Cena, AJ Styles, Edge, and now probably Dwayne Johnson. The two currently share a beef, and if executed properly, this could turn out prosperously.
The internal report from WWE verified that, although there is nothing planned between Waller and Johnson. However, since the 51-year-old actor is in dire need of positive publicity, there might be something cooking.
Could Johnson return before, or at SummerSlam 2023 to confront Grayson Waller?
SummerSlam is one of the biggest events in WWE’s calendar year. And Waller’s beef with Dwayne Johnson could potentially lead to their confrontation at SummerSlam in Detroit. Waller is one of the most promising talents on the roster.
And a feud against Johnson now could turn out to be extremely profitable for the Australian national. Waller as a heel against the legend Dwayne Johnson, could be a promising storyline, and provide the fans with one of the best matches in a long time.
At WrestleMania 38, Steve Austin returned for a match against the heel Kevin Owens and it paid off massively. And, at SummerSlam 2023, fans might see The Rock returning for a bout against Waller.
